AKD Improves Tracking & Compliance with EWDs

AKD, a timber and forestry business, needed a better way to manage driver fatigue, compliance, fleet visibility and fuel tax claims. Using Teletrac Navman’s TN360 platform, along with electronic work diaries (EWDs) and the Fuel Tax Credit (FTC) manager, AKD sought to replace manual logbooks and tracking methods with a more accurate, automated system.

Teletrac Navman implemented EWDs, real-time tracking and alerts, FTC calculations, and automated maintenance reminders to support AKD’s operations. The results included stronger Chain of Responsibility compliance, easier fatigue management, improved audit readiness, and less manual admin. AKD reported that drivers adapted quickly and positively to the EWDs, while the FTC manager and maintenance automation helped reduce underclaiming risk, manual errors, and potential vehicle downtime.
