Wirecast Chosen by France Télévisions to Stream Live Regional Elections Coverage

France Télévisions, the French national public broadcaster, needed a way to deliver live, region-specific news to audiences across multiple platforms during the municipal elections. To provide reliable, high-quality streaming accessible on TVs, PCs and mobile devices, FTV purchased 43 Wirecast Pro for Windows systems—installed at 24 regional centers with plans to roll out to 19 more—after testing for performance, ease of implementation and cost.

FTV deployed Wirecast as an integrated live-production solution (multi-camera switching, graphics, keying, etc.), paired with Blackmagic DeckLink capture cards and a CDN to deliver three adaptive streams for different devices. The platform enabled successful live regional election coverage on 24 region-specific websites, proved robust in real-world conditions, and is being expanded toward continuous regional streaming with a growing online audience.
