Case Study: Wayfarers Chapel achieves same-day professional live-streamed wedding ceremonies with Telestream's Wirecast

A Telestream Case Study

Preview of the Wayfarers Chapel Case Study

Wayfarers Chapel Uses Wirecast to Live Stream their Ceremonies

Wayfarers Chapel, the iconic “Glass Church” overlooking the Pacific, hosts hundreds of intimate weddings a year in its 100‑seat venue. Steve Smith, the Chapel Video Director, needed a multi‑camera, remotely controlled solution that could handle switching, titling, audio, ISO and program recording, streaming, and — because of the high volume of ceremonies — rapid delivery of finished video to couples and remote guests.

By centering their workflow on Wirecast, Steve and his partner built a compact system (three Sony cameras, Atomos Ninja 2 recorders, Blackmagic converters, Matrox VS4 capture) that streams to Sunday Streams while simultaneously recording local .mp4 and ProRes backups. The two‑person team now delivers a professional wedding video on USB or DVD in about 40 minutes, offers VOD for two weeks, streams to remote guests or receptions, and has cut turnaround from weeks to essentially immediate while enabling future expansion.
