Telestream Enables Significant Business Growth for Asset.tv

Asset.tv, founded in 2003, is a provider of video production, hosted libraries and live webcasts for the investment community. Encoding 100–200 videos per week—many one to two hours long—had become a major bottleneck: transcoding with Sorenson Squeeze was slow and unreliable, often taking overnight and preventing same‑day client delivery.

In March 2009 Asset.tv adopted Telestream FlipFactory for automated, fast transcoding and Telestream Wirecast for live production. FlipFactory cut encoding from overnight to minutes and enabled same‑day turnaround and scalable operations without added staff, while Wirecast let the team produce TV‑quality live webcasts with a compact crew and equipment. As a result Asset.tv launched its Live Room service and is positioned to expand into mobile video and new market segments.
