StartUp Health Broadcasts Annual Festival with Wirecast

StartUp Health, a global investor and supporter of digital health companies, runs an invite-only, two-day StartUp Health Festival alongside the JP Morgan Healthcare Conference that brings together about 2,000 entrepreneurs, innovators, and investors. Their challenge was how to reach and engage a global audience of Health Transformers and partners by live streaming the festival’s main stage.

They deployed Wirecast Pro on a MacBook Pro, using three Panasonic HE-130 cameras fed through a Blackmagic HD‑SDI capture card and the venue’s main audio feed; Wirecast’s CDN-agnostic delivery allowed flexible distribution. The reliable setup streamed the entire festival live to StartUp Health’s Facebook and YouTube channels, enabling them to celebrate members’ accomplishments with a global audience.
