Magenta TV Operates Faster and More Efficiently with Vantage

Magenta TV, a leading full-service post-production facility in Germany’s Rhine-Main region with over 30 years’ experience, needed a file-based encoding solution that would work with its storage area network and operate independently of its editing suites. The goal was to handle high-volume creation, conversion and delivery of many formats and to move content easily between systems used for editing, color grading and playout.

Magenta TV implemented Telestream Vantage (via Netorium) as a centralized transcoding and workflow automation server integrated with their SAN and tools like Avid, Snell Alchemist, Lynx and Nucoda. Vantage captures content, aligns audio, exports AAF, and automates encoding for VOD, archive and delivery—converting ProRes to low-res web files, creating linked QuickTime references with metadata and producing HDCAM SR tapes and MXF masters. The result: faster, more efficient operations, greater flexibility, reliable output and freed-up editors who can focus on editing while quick preview files enable remote grading review.
