Images & Sound, New Zealand’s longest-established full-service post house in Auckland, needed a more efficient way to handle growing tapeless workflows and avoid bottlenecks in transcoding, ingest, and delivery. The company had been using different encoding tools depending on operator preference, but wanted a more consistent, reliable enterprise solution for broadcast deliverables, approval encodes, and Avid MXF workflows.

Telestream’s ContentAgent was implemented to automate ingest, encoding, QC, and delivery through a more user-friendly interface. The result was a streamlined, repeatable workflow that let staff drop in clips and have Avid MXFs and AAFs created automatically, with consistent metadata and overnight processing when needed; it also proved especially valuable on complex projects, saving time and improving accuracy for AS-11 DPP deliverables and other long-form productions.
