How the Telestream Vantage media processing system boosts the productivity of Argentine MVPD Artear’s Avid MediaCentral workflow

Artear, a leading Argentine multichannel video programmer owned by Grupo Clarín, operates numerous broadcast and digital brands from a new 28,000 sq ft Content Production Center using Avid MediaCentral and other editing systems. The company faced the challenge of ingesting and repurposing high volumes of diverse codecs and formats quickly and reliably for broadcast, cable, websites and mobile — especially time-sensitive news — while preserving metadata and minimizing manual errors.

To solve this Artear implemented Telestream Vantage Transcode Pro with Avid integration and the Vantage Transcode Multiscreen module, supported by Lightspeed K80 servers, to automate ingest, transcoding, ABR packaging, encryption and delivery. The automated, metadata-preserving workflows (supporting HLS, DASH, H.264/H.265, MP4, etc.) reduced human error, accelerated processing so media is ready for postproduction, and gave Artear the flexibility to format and distribute content across all platforms.
