Tokyo-based SKY Perfect JSAT (SPTV) is Japan’s leading multichannel pay-TV and satellite communications provider, serving about 3.2 million subscribers with a wide range of channels including 4K UHD. Faced with the need to guarantee high Quality of Experience (QoE) across many devices and networks—and to do so at scale for more than 160 live channels—SPTV required a comprehensive OTT monitoring strategy to detect and resolve streaming issues before viewers were affected and to reduce churn.
