Germany’s MCI Relies on Telestream PRISM Waveform Monitor

Studio Hamburg MCI (Media Consult International) is a full‑service provider of IT‑based media systems with over 40 years’ experience, part of the Studio Hamburg Group, equipping more than 15 studios and delivering SDI and IP solutions across Europe. As the industry migrated from SDI to IP (SMPTE 2110), MCI needed a reliable, portable waveform monitor to show signal timing and alignment, train staff, demonstrate IP workflows to customers, and support both SDI and IP infrastructures.

MCI selected the Telestream PRISM waveform monitor—deploying multiple PRISM units in their lab, for rentals and sales, and in integration projects—because it supports 3G/12G SDI through quad‑link and up to 25Gig IP SMPTE 2110, offers a nine‑inch touchscreen, remote access, field software upgrades, and specialized measurements like eye displays and PTP analysis. The PRISM became MCI’s main test-and-measurement tool, enabling remote diagnostics during COVID, reducing technician travel and costs, simplifying training, and proving indispensable for both SDI and IP installations.
