De Mensen, one of Belgium’s leading production companies, faced a time-consuming post-production challenge in 2013 while working with RED camera footage. Transcoding RAW files for editing was difficult and labor-intensive, and the company needed a more efficient way to handle ingest and delivery in its Avid-based workflow. Telestream’s ContentAgent was adopted to solve the problem.

Telestream implemented ContentAgent to automate RED transcoding, ingest, metadata handling, and delivery across De Mensen’s Avid ecosystem. The solution created repeatable workflows, preserved clip metadata, and streamlined preparation of editorial, dailies, proxy, and archive material. De Mensen reported that workflow speed improved by a factor of four for one transcoding task, with time savings described as immeasurable and support and reliability consistently strong.
