Preview of the Conference Recording Service, Inc. Case Study

CRS Uses Wirecast for YouTube Webcast of International Women’s Earth & Climate Summit

Conference Recording Service, Inc. (CRS) used Telestream Wirecast to stream the 2013 International Women’s Earth & Climate Summit, a three-day event featuring 100 global women leaders. CRS’s challenge was to capture high-quality video and audio across multiple sessions while keeping production costs and complexity low and ensuring reliable global access — including viewers on low-bandwidth connections, which led to a pre-production decision to limit output to 360p and provide public “Vision Hub” screenings worldwide.

CRS solved this by using Wirecast’s integrated live-production tools with a single Sony HVR-Z1U camera, an Epiphan VGA-to-USB converter for PowerPoint, a Blackmagic Intensity card for audio/video capture, and direct streaming to YouTube Live while simultaneously recording. The result was a cost-effective, professional webcast with strong lip sync and a large YouTube Live audience, extended post-event interest and distribution, and successful global reach for WECAN’s message.
