DiGiorno wanted a new way to reinforce the benefits of its baked-at-home pizza over delivery, and it worked with Telescope, Twitter, Reach Agency, and Nestlé teams to create a live social experience. Telescope used Twitter Media Studio and a social sweepstakes approach to power a Periscope live stream in vertical format with audience interaction.
Telescope streamed the broadcast showing two perspectives—ordering pizza delivery versus heating a DiGiorno Crispy Pan Pizza—and integrated a real-time hearts meter, custom pizza emoji hearts, and viewer comments using #sweepstakes for a chance to win free pizza coupons. The campaign generated over 9 million views, more than 104,000 hearts, and thousands of comments, creating major engagement and social buzz.
