TikTok wanted to host a safe, exciting New Year’s Eve celebration during the pandemic, giving fans around the world a way to ring in the new year together virtually. TikTok turned to Telescope for full production services and TikTok LIVE streaming support to bring the concert experience to viewers at home.

Telescope produced and recorded the performances in the weeks leading up to New Year’s Eve, with custom staging for each artist, then streamed the event live to TikTok at 6 PM before the ball dropped. The one-hour concert featured Charlie Puth, Rico Nasty, Kali Uchis, and guest TikTok creators, helping TikTok deliver a one-of-a-kind virtual event that engaged audiences across the nation in real time.
