A Telescope Case Study
Telescope worked with Stand Up To Cancer, a nonprofit known for its hour-long telecast and fundraising campaigns, to help bring its message to a younger digital audience during its 2016 #Reason2StandUp and 2018 #Up2Us live shows. The challenge was to create an engaging livestream experience that could go behind the scenes, connect directly with viewers, and drive donations during the national broadcast using Telescope’s live streaming and full production services.
Telescope delivered simultaneous live streams from backstage and the telecast itself, using custom graphics, comments-to-air, an XL fan feed, and donation prompts on Facebook Live to encourage interaction and giving. The campaign featured celebrities, influencers, donor calls, and audience submissions, helping Stand Up To Cancer generate major results including 34 million dollars raised in 2016 and, by 2018, 1.9 billion impressions, 4.6 million total engagements, 2.5 million views, and more than 123.6 million dollars pledged for cancer research.
