HGTV worked with Telescope to add real-time social engagement and interactivity across its digital properties and on-air programming. The challenge was to create a unified, easy-to-manage way to bring social content, fan participation, and live audience interaction into multiple HGTV shows and campaigns using Telescope’s Connect Live platform and related products.

Telescope implemented a multi-product Connect Live license for HGTV, including tweets-to-air, social polling, fan votes, social streams, and curated UGC displays such as Fan Filter. The solution powered campaigns like Brother vs. Brother and the Rose Parade, helping HGTV generate strong fan engagement and measurable reach; the Rose Parade tweets-to-air activation produced HGTV’s highest-ever social media traffic, reached 1.96 million viewers on-air tweets, made HGTV the top-ranked cable program for the day by Twitter TV Unique Audience, and helped #HGTVNewYear trend in the Top 10 throughout the day.
