Live Nation partnered with Telescope to run Bon Jovi’s Opening Act Contest and turn tour promotion into a fan-driven experience. The challenge was to generate awareness and ticket sales for Bon Jovi’s North American tour while finding a local opening act in each hometown and encouraging social engagement.
Telescope used Connect Live, UGC, and Fan Feed to let bands upload audition videos, select a tour date, and have Live Nation moderate submissions before approved videos appeared in a gallery for fans to view, like, and share. The campaign drove massive participation and reach, with fans across the nation uploading hundreds of thousands of videos and creating strong buzz around the tour.
