A Telescope Case Study
Warner Brothers worked with Telescope to create an interactive fan experience for the release of Godzilla: King of Monsters. The challenge was to turn a large Hollywood installation at the Cinerama Dome into an engaging activation that could bring fans into the moment through social participation, using Telescope’s custom experiential/on-site solution and Connect Live social wall tools.
Telescope built a Twitter Wall that visualized fans’ tweets with Godzilla’s glowing atomic breath, and as more people used the #GodzillaMovie hashtag, the bar filled until Godzilla roared for the crowd. The activation generated worldwide buzz, with coverage from ABC, CBS, and other media outlets, and helped fans around the world participate in a memorable live spectacle that earned a 2019 Clio Awards Entertainment Grand Prize.
