BRIT Awards invited music fanatics everywhere to impact the winning outcome by voting via social platforms

BRIT Awards wanted to engage music fans beyond the live broadcast and give them a way to influence the outcome of the show. They worked with Telescope, using its Social Vote product to power social voting through platforms like Twitter and later TikTok.

Telescope implemented hashtag-based fan voting for the BRIT Awards, starting with Twitter in 2019 and expanding to a native in-app TikTok vote in 2022. Fans could quickly cast votes for favorite artists across multiple categories, driving social engagement and participation, with results revealed during the live ceremony. Telescope’s solution helped the BRIT Awards create a highly interactive, fan-driven voting experience and, in 2022, delivered the first-ever TikTok vote powered within the UK.
