National Geographic teamed up with Telescope to boost engagement around the launch of the second season of Savage Kingdom. The goal was to create a memorable live stream that would promote the series while bringing audiences into the experience in a more interactive way, using Facebook Live Streaming, Live Studio, and full production services.
Telescope produced a four-camera Facebook Live event from the Columbus Zoo where lions were served a Savage Thanksgiving dinner, and added Live Studio polls plus comment-to-air features so viewers could participate in real time. The campaign delivered 594,000+ views, 8,200+ reactions, 3,900+ comments, and 1,400+ shares, and earned recognition as a 2018 Shorty Awards finalist and a 2018 Clio Awards Entertainment Silver winner.
