A Telehouse Case Study
Streamworks International, a global streaming company delivering live and on‑demand video for news, sport and entertainment clients, needed a resilient, cost‑effective data centre partner to ensure international availability, low latency and high quality for highly variable live streams. To meet those requirements it selected Telehouse — including primary hosting at Telehouse West — to provide the connectivity, security and carrier access its patented encoding and delivery platform demands.
Telehouse provisioned a six‑rack suite at Telehouse West with dual 100 Mb circuits and supported points of presence in Telehouse Hong Kong, Telehouse Singapore and Telehouse America (Los Angeles and New York), enabling Streamworks’ universal delivery network. As a result, Streamworks delivered record‑breaking live events (including 4.7 million unique viewers and a 457,000 concurrent peak during Major League Gaming 2012), improved uptime and global reach, reduced costs and accelerated monetisation (including an expanded AP deal) — outcomes the company attributes directly to Telehouse’s infrastructure and support.
