Case Study: Joymax establishes low-latency, scalable European gaming presence with Telehouse

A Telehouse Case Study

Preview of the Joymax Case Study

Taking Online Gaming to the next Level

Joymax, a Seoul-based online game developer founded in 1997 and creator of titles like Silkroad Online, wanted to expand its successful Asian operations into Europe but faced the challenge of delivering resilient, low‑latency connectivity into European gaming hubs. After an extensive search for a provider that could meet strict latency and scalability requirements, Joymax selected Telehouse to establish a European point-of-presence.

Telehouse implemented a colocation PoP at Telehouse West in the London Docklands, giving Joymax access to the London Internet Exchange (LINX), more than 400 carriers and ASPs, and Euro‑Asia connectivity via parent company KDDI — producing up to a 30% latency reduction versus alternative routes. As a result, Telehouse enabled Joymax to enter the European market, strengthen its global position, scale infrastructure on demand, and gain exposure to new partners and customers, improving ROI and future growth prospects.
