A Telehouse Case Study
edpnet, an independent Belgian telecom carrier founded in 1996, needed to establish a Point-of-Presence (PoP) to expand its footprint into the European market and meet rapidly growing demand for bandwidth. The company required a data centre partner that could support high-density setups and provide access to a broad range of carriers and customers, so it selected Telehouse and its London Docklands data centre as the strategic location for that PoP.
Telehouse implemented the solution by hosting edpnet’s PoP in its London Docklands facility, giving edpnet connectivity to numerous ISPs, ASPs and major network providers, room for future expansion, and 24-hour technical support. After signing the contract in March 2011, edpnet materially extended its European presence via the Telehouse PoP, increasing its portfolio and customer base and strengthening its position as a leading European telecom carrier; the deployment was reported as fast and flawless, and edpnet intends to further expand the relationship with Telehouse.
