A TEKTELIC Case Study
Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, faced a significant challenge in maintaining its community gardens. Manual watering was time-consuming and inefficient, often leading to wasted water from overwatering or plant loss from under-watering. To solve this, they partnered with TEKTELIC to implement an automated irrigation solution.
TEKTELIC's solution utilized their Micro Gateways and CLOVER Agriculture Sensors to create a smart irrigation system. This system provided real-time monitoring of soil moisture and automated watering, which resulted in substantial water conservation, healthier plants, and a major reduction in manual labor for garden volunteers. The successful implementation across 11 gardens demonstrates the scalability of TEKTELIC's technology.
