TEKLYNX’ SENTINEL meets worldwide chemical labeling challenge for DSM Resins Groups

DSM Resins, part of DSM’s coating and composite resins businesses, needed a centralized way to manage hazardous and shipping label distribution across 13 plants worldwide. Their challenge was to produce Risk & Safety labels in the correct local languages for each destination, while reducing labeling errors, delays, and compliance risks. TEKLYNX provided its SENTINEL print management solution with CODESOFT label printing software to support the company’s SAP-based labeling environment.

TEKLYNX implemented a centralized workflow where SAP creates IDocs, SENTINEL retrieves the right language-specific safety text and symbols, and CODESOFT formats and sends the finished labels to printers at each site over the WAN. The result was a reliable “black box” labeling process with centralized control, easier maintenance, backup failover, and faster operations across all facilities. DSM Resins reported that the system eliminated wasted time and labeling errors and improved control over label designs and data content.
