Eagle Management Group, a Tulsa-based publisher and distributor of evangelical Christian books and gift items, needed a better way to handle rapidly growing shipping and distribution demands. With more than 4,000 book titles, hundreds of gift items, and customized bar code labeling requirements from major retailers, the company’s mostly manual process was causing errors, slowdowns, and inefficiencies. TEKLYNX provided LABEL MATRIX label design software to help automate the complex labeling workflow.

TEKLYNX and its partners implemented an integrated solution with LABEL MATRIX, printers, a label applicator, and a custom conveyor system to automate order fulfillment and label application. The new process tripled output from 1 million to 3 million items, eliminated outsourcing, cut labeling costs from about five cents per item to under two cents, and paid for itself in less than three months.
