Bestway Products finds a better way to label cleaning products

Bestway Products, Inc. is a Salt Lake City industrial cleaning products manufacturer that needed a better way to label its chemical cleaners, disinfectants, solvents, waxes, and related products. Its old in-house printing process was slow, unreliable, and expensive, especially for the company’s small production runs and just-in-time inventory needs. TEKLYNX provided LABELVIEW label design software to help Bestway print accurate labels on demand.

With TEKLYNX LABELVIEW, Bestway rebuilt its labeling workflow around on-demand printing using a Windows PC, a Datamax DMX 600 printer, and handheld scanners. The company reduced the need to warehouse pre-printed labels and containers, cut costs by switching to blank containers plus printed labels, and simplified production with just two label formats covering about 150 label designs. Bestway said the new system improved its entire manufacturing process, supported shorter runs, and made future item tracking easier through bar codes.
