Workforce Planning Solution to automate and integrate the planning process at an electronic design automation company

TekLink worked with a leading electronic design automation company that needed to modernize a manual workforce planning process. The existing approach was rigid, time-consuming, and difficult to use, and the client wanted a single solution that could combine open requisitions from ATS with current and planned headcount, while also improving monthly forecast creation and reporting. The project used SAP BPC and SAP Analytics Cloud.

TekLink redesigned the workforce planning solution from the ground up by automating key planning steps, simplifying maintenance of employees and requisitions, adding mass upload capabilities, and standardizing forms and reports for a better user experience. TekLink also automated baseline forecast creation, start-date logic, and base salary generation, while integrating BPC with SAP Analytics Cloud for reporting. As a result, the client gained a single source of planning information, eliminated Excel and other siloed tools, reduced planning cycle time and errors, and improved management visibility into employee status changes.
