TekLink’s “Value Added Upgrade” to BPC 10.1 saves a Global CPG Corporation Time and Money

TekLink worked with an American multinational food manufacturing company that produces cereal and convenience foods and has more than 32,000 employees worldwide. The company wanted to upgrade its SAP Business Planning and Consolidation environment from BPC 7.5 to BPC 10.1, but its existing system was underperforming and needed better efficiency and user experience.

TekLink delivered a “Value Added Upgrade” using SAP BPC, SAP BW, and SAP HANA expertise, along with its Innovation Labs to build three test landscapes and run proof-of-concept benchmarks on the client’s own data. This let the customer compare BPC 7.5 on Oracle, BPC 10.0 on Oracle, and BPC 10.0 on HANA across loads, reporting, data input, and calculations, resulting in a successful upgrade to BPC 10.1 with significant performance improvements and minimal disruption to business users and IT.
