TekLink worked with an American multinational food manufacturing company that produces cereal and other convenience foods across more than 15 countries. The company was relying on a BODS-based process with 10 jobs to handle 3 terabytes of data, and processing took about 40 hours, making it difficult to simplify reporting, improve decision-making, and keep promotional and growth management data current.

TekLink re-architected the ETL design by consolidating the process into a single BODS job, moving logic into Microsoft SQL Server stored procedures, cleansing mapping and join issues, and improving storage and indexing with temporary tables and clustered indexes. As a result, TekLink cut processing time to less than 30 minutes, reduced the data footprint to 700 GB, simplified maintenance, and enabled daily delta updates so reporting data is refreshed each morning and stays much closer to real time.
