TekLink enables a food manufacturing major to understand better the effects of inflation/deflation on profit margins

TekLink worked with a food manufacturing company that produces cereal and other convenience foods distributed worldwide. The company needed to upgrade its Business Planning and Consolidation environment from BPC 7.5 to BPC 10.1, while also addressing poor system performance and evaluating the impact of adding HANA through TekLink’s Value Added Upgrade approach.

TekLink analyzed the existing BPC setup, recommended better use of new version capabilities, and used TekLink Innovation Labs to create three landscapes for testing BPC 10.1 with and without HANA. The upgrade delivered significant performance improvements and a better user experience with minimal disruption to users and IT, while also enabling the client to run deeper tests on their data and better understand the effects of inflation and deflation on profit margins.
