Case Study: Rust–Oleum achieves faster, lower-cost analytics with TekLink and Microsoft Azure

TekLink worked with Rust–Oleum, an American manufacturing company, to replace Teradata with a better-suited cloud platform. Rust–Oleum needed improved performance, lower cost, and more modern features for its supply chain and logistics analytics, and the existing Teradata environment was lagging behind Microsoft Azure.

TekLink migrated the initial data set to Azure Data Lake Store, using Spark data frames to support parallel processing and distributed computing, then transformed the data for reporting and loaded it into Azure for Power BI analysis. The new solution significantly reduced load and transform times, simplified system complexity, and lowered processing costs through Databricks pay-as-you-go services, while TekLink’s delivery model also reduced the overall cost of migration.
