Flexible Financial Reporting Framework Developed with Report Builder Authoring Environment SSRS

TekLink worked with American Packaged Foods Company, a leading American packaged foods business with more than 17,000 employees across 50 locations worldwide, to modernize its finance and controlling reporting. The company wanted to replace a traditional, physical PDF-based reporting process with a more streamlined digital approach, but its existing software was inflexible, cumbersome, and difficult to maintain.

TekLink developed an SSRS-based reporting environment using Microsoft SSRS, MSBI, and SQL to automatically generate P&L statements based on selected data parameters. The solution added flexible filtering and sorting, defined KPIs, multi-statement views across time and planning hierarchies, and automatic pagination, while also creating a path toward future self-service reporting in Power BI. As a result, American Packaged Foods Company improved report generation speed, enhanced drill-down and drill-up analysis, increased accuracy and readability, and enabled reporting at more precise granularities.
