Enabling next generation Data Warehouse and Analytics using Azure Synapse and Data Bricks

TekLink worked with a global consumer packaged goods company that needed to expand decision-making with external data alongside enterprise data, but was constrained by the limitations and cost of its existing enterprise data warehouse. The company was looking for a modern, lower-cost data platform to support manufacturing, supply chain, and sales analytics using Microsoft Azure cloud services.

TekLink designed and implemented a phased modern data warehouse on Microsoft Azure Synapse and Databricks, with an Azure Data Lake for raw and refined POS and distributor data, and a semantic layer in Azure Analysis Services with Power BI reporting and self-service analytics. The result was a modern data platform that enabled advanced analytics and machine learning use cases, freed up IT and finance resources, and helped business users react to business indicators and make decisions faster.
