Axalta Coating Systems, a US-based coatings company operating in more than 130 countries, wanted easier access to meaningful insights to improve product and service quality, better understand changing market demands, reduce time-to-insight from large volumes of IoT data, and improve data quality and analytics standardization. TekLink supported the initiative with an analytics platform built on SAP BPC and cloud data capabilities to help the business move from manual, ad hoc analysis to more reliable self-service and statistical reporting.

TekLink implemented a scalable data lake in Microsoft Azure, integrating IoT data from AWS S3 with master data from SQL systems and automating JSON-to-Parquet transformation in Azure Databricks. The solution enabled ad hoc analysis in Power BI, predefined reports, improved data preparation, and easier maintenance through documentation, training, and hypercare support. As a result, Axalta reported increased revenue generation, cost savings from better color selection, improved refinish quality, higher distribution efficiency, and better device tracking for maintenance.
