TekLink worked with a leading electrical and electronic products manufacturer serving residential construction, industrial, and utility applications to improve sales and CRM data access. The customer needed row-level security in Power BI dashboards to replace SAP Business Objects Explorer, provide data personalization for regional sales users, and reduce dependence on IT for managing user access.
TekLink implemented a bi-phased solution using Power BI, Power Apps, and SAP HANA, with user-region mappings maintained in Excel on SharePoint and embedded Power Apps for business-user administration. This enabled dynamic row-level security and self-service access management, improved onboarding, strengthened data security, eliminated IT dependency for user management, and avoided additional investment in a new tool.
