A global food manufacturer migrates BPC System to HANA Database on AWS, significantly improving processing time

TekLink helped an American multinational food manufacturing company that produces cereal and other convenience foods address the end of support for its existing BPC and Oracle environment while also reducing dependence on legacy Flash-based functionality. The company also wanted to decommission some on-premises applications and move more systems to AWS, making the upgrade and migration a priority.

TekLink upgraded the environment from BW 7.4/BPC 10.0 on Oracle to BW 7.5/BPC 10.1 using SUM DMO, then migrated it to AWS hardware with a single business outage. By running multiple production migration iterations and tuning OS, application, and HANA settings, TekLink completed the project with zero business impact, improved query response, accelerated data processing and analysis, and increased performance for data loads and queries.
