A Tegrity Case Study
The University of New Hampshire (UNH), a public land, sea and space‑grant university serving 15,000+ students across Durham and Manchester, needed a robust, flexible lecture‑capture solution to improve access to classroom content, support summer and online/hybrid offerings, and work for faculty on campus or from home. After a review of 14 systems involving over 100 faculty and 15 Academic Technology staff, UNH selected Tegrity for its simplicity and features like searchable content, bookmarking and note taking.
Implemented in fall 2011, Tegrity equipped four classrooms with cameras and microphones, added a walk‑in recording studio, and enabled 50+ professors to record lectures—growing to 125+ integrated courses. Faculty used Tegrity to support students with disabilities, reach learners abroad, deliver lectures during cancellations, livestream to expand class capacity, and expand UNH’s online catalog (including a new online MBA), with faculty and students reporting a positive impact on teaching, access and enrollment.
