A Tegrity Case Study
Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law in Raleigh, NC (about 450 students) faced a shrinking classroom engagement problem: students were spending class time furiously transcribing lectures on laptops or legal pads instead of participating in discussion. Professor William “Woody” Woodruff sought a way to shift the classroom from information transfer to active analysis and debate—teaching students to think like lawyers rather than stenographers.
He implemented McGraw‑Hill Tegrity Campus lecture capture, whose simple, searchable interface and bookmarking/notes features let students review content outside class and freed class time for discussion. Professor Woodruff records every class (for more than six years), every law classroom now has Tegrity cameras, and demand has spread campus-wide; the result is stronger student preparation, increased analytical participation, and a more interactive learning environment.
