A Tegria Case Study
Providence, a not-for-profit health system in the Western U.S., faced the challenge of helping its front-line providers efficiently share complex clinical knowledge. A major source of frustration and a factor in clinician burnout, this inefficiency led them to develop a proof-of-concept for a decision-support tool. They realized this initial tool was not enterprise-scalable and needed a partner to develop a cloud-based application capable of serving tens of thousands of concurrent users.
Tegria was tapped to design and architect the scalable solution. Using Microsoft Azure and an agile approach, Tegria delivered the Clinical Knowledge Hub, a modern web application, in just six months. The launch included over 350 pieces of medical knowledge. Providers reported improved efficiency and ease in finding answers at the point of care, with 74% noting enhanced decision-making for clinical management and 20% reporting improved navigation for specialist referrals.
