Intuitive eLearning Improves EHR User Engagement, Satisfaction

Midwestern Academic Medical Center sought to design and implement a comprehensive digital learning strategy for its EHR training. The organization wanted to improve training efficiency, bolster user engagement, and meet the increasing demand for flexible training opportunities, selecting Captivate and Powtoon as their new tools. To achieve this, they engaged the vendor Tegria for support with their digital learning strategy and eLearning development.

Tegria implemented a new, more efficient process for developing and launching lessons, including creating templates for a consistent learner experience and a self-guided onboarding course for new instructional designers. By incorporating gamification, they motivated learners to practice workflows. As a result of Tegria's work, the medical center saw increased learner engagement and satisfaction. The vendor helped create 184 new lessons, revise 31 lessons, and develop 45 assessments over the 15-month engagement.
