Tegile Systems Brews Up Storage Solution For Rahr Corporation

Rahr Corporation needed to replace an aging Compellent SAN that was maxed out on capacity and throughput while still supporting its Fibre-based infrastructure and requiring inline deduplication. The company also wanted a solution that could keep up with its virtualized Microsoft VDI environment and enterprise applications, so it selected Tegile and its Hybrid Storage Array.

Tegile implemented flash-driven arrays with multiprotocol support and IntelliFlash data management to improve performance and reduce storage use. The result was a 25TB system that cut storage needs by 75 percent, dramatically improved I/O performance, and led Rahr Corporation to add a second Tegile unit for offsite disaster recovery replication and production use.
