Hyper Island, a global university-level education provider, faced a challenge when the pandemic abruptly ended the daily social interactions and informal collaboration that were central to its students' learning experience. This shift to remote learning via standard video conferencing left students feeling isolated and disconnected, making it difficult to gauge peer understanding and maintain a sense of shared community.

To address this, the students implemented Teemyco, using its virtual office platform to recreate their lost social and collaborative space. They created dedicated rooms for different learning paths, morning check-ins, and a "crying room" for feedback, which restored a vital sense of connection and empathy. Teemyco’s features, like simultaneous screen sharing and pinned documents, facilitated better collaboration. The solution successfully made students feel less alone, enabling them to effectively work together from various countries across the globe.
