The Medical Library Association’s medical library members faced challenges with an outdated and insecure interlibrary loan billing system that required significant manual processing and was prone to errors. They engaged Tecture to develop a modern replacement, the EFTS system, to automate administration, ensure financial integrity, and provide real-time data integration.

Tecture designed and implemented the new EFTS system with a real-time API integration to the DOCLINE platform, an innovative wallet-based funding model, and an intuitive accounting-style dashboard. This solution automated data entry to eliminate errors, provided real-time financial transparency, and empowered members with self-service payment options.
