Distinct Packaging - Customer Case Study

Distinct Packaging, a new business unit of a global pulp, packaging and plywood manufacturer, needed to offer short-run, fully customizable packaging online while integrating complex 3D visualization tools with legacy back-end systems, multiple regional partners, and varied print partners. To address this, Distinct Packaging engaged Tecra and its AccuConnect platform to build an enterprise-grade, secure, user-friendly web portal that could share back-end data while keeping some assets separate from their existing B2B systems.

Tecra implemented the AccuConnect-based portal with a ground-up UI/UX, an HTML5 3D viewing and editing tool, ERP and fulfillment integrations, and an agile-managed dedicated team, delivering the system on time and within budget. The site launched in early 2018, enabled novice users to personalize and proof packages in real time, helped Distinct Packaging acquire hundreds of new customers shortly after launch, and Tecra is now working on a next phase to add additional products and materials.
