SoftwareONE, a global IT service management firm with over 3,000 consultants in 145 countries, faced high training costs, limited resources, slow time-to-market for new hires, and difficulty keeping multi-language content current and consistent across regions. Traditional face-to-face training was expensive and impractical to scale, leaving the company unable to rapidly onboard staff or update instruction as products and processes changed.
To solve this, SoftwareONE built a Global Learning & Development team and adopted TechSmith Camtasia and Snagit to create, edit, and distribute video-based training through internal portals (ONEIUniversity/ONEITube), using subject-matter experts and a streamlined workflow. The initiative produced 1,400+ videos and about 40,000 annual views, accelerated onboarding, reduced travel costs, enabled frequent updates and subtitles for multi-language support, and drove high engagement (130 new videos in one quarter), with plans to expand mobile and browser access.
