Clarence Valley Council, a local government body in New South Wales, faced challenges in managing its diverse and widespread assets due to relying on manual, paper-based processes and multiple disparate systems. This lack of a centralized system made it difficult to track asset maintenance and costs across its large territory. The council partnered with TechnologyOne to address these inefficiencies.
TechnologyOne implemented its Field App and Asset Operations & Maintenance solutions to create a single source of truth for asset data. This allowed staff to manage information electronically in the field, replacing outdated paper timesheets. The results were significant efficiency gains; the council eliminated the double-handling of 3,000 timesheet lines per week and one crew completed its annual bridge project in six months instead of twelve. This enabled Clarence Valley Council to respond to community requests faster and take on more projects internally.
