TruHealth Family Care, a family medicine practice founded in 2006 in Fayetteville, AR, struggled for years with inadequate EHR and outsourced billing solutions that led to gaps in revenue, billing errors, a Medicare audit, and staff reductions. After hiring a full-time biller, the practice sought an in-house system that would provide better practice management, billing visibility, and clinical tools.

TruHealth implemented Kareo Billing, Kareo Clinical, and Kareo Engage, which improved billing transparency and workflow and allowed daily claim submission. Since 2015 the practice has seen revenue recovery and faster payments (about 1,300 claims/month, average 23 days in A/R, BCBS ~9 days, Medicare ~11 days), a reduced denial rate (~7%), over 11,000 automated patient reminders in one year, nearly 50 new online reviews, and a noticeable drop in no-shows.
