A Tebra Case Study
Sleeptopia, founded by Kevin Kunz to provide affordable in-home sleep apnea testing, grew quickly from a one-room office to three locations and won Topeka’s Emerging Business of the Year. The biggest early challenge was billing: outsourcing was inconvenient for patients and costly, and Kunz needed a secure, affordable in-house system that protected sensitive records without hiring dedicated IT staff.
Sleeptopia implemented Kareo’s end-to-end cloud platform (billing, clinical, patient statements), integrated it with their sleep-study software, and used Kareo University for quick staff onboarding. The change cut billing costs by about half, gave real-time remote access and stronger security, improved reporting to identify and reduce write-offs, and supported rapid growth—Sleeptopia doubled in size over four years.
