Blackboard, a 3,000‑employee leader in higher education software and services, faced growing complexity as demand for its tailored Educational Services outpaced informal project workflows. Teams were using spreadsheets, personal tools, email threads and siloed communication, making it hard to track updates, responsibilities and change histories. After evaluating about ten competitors, Blackboard selected Teamwork Projects to standardize project management across remote and in‑office teams.
Teamwork implemented a phased rollout of Teamwork Projects, using Gantt charts, project status updates, centralized deliverables, comment threads and task templates to unify work and client collaboration.
